Where can u find a running event in KL that will only cost you RM30 but still provided official running vest, official bib with timing system and a finisher medal after the race?
There is some but very few. Most of running events will cost you RM50 for a 10km or 12km but for this event only cost you RM30 for 15km. Maybe because its for Charity the organizer decided to lower the race fee.
Anyway I did not hesitate to register for this event as I need more mileage in preparation for next week SCKLM.
A day before this event, I already participated in ALPHA Run II, running 12km. This is the 1st time running long distance back to back.
Despite the hazy weather around town in the country, the race still go on. The haze in Putrajaya was quite bad that morning but did not dampen the spirit of runners. The race start 10 minutes late from schedule.
I'm taking it slow and easy during the race as I need to drive all the way to Teluk Batik, Lumut right after finishing it. Its a 3 hour plus drive by the way.
Only 4 of us Yuth, Salman, Firdaus and me running in this event. Firdaus sprint right from the start while all 3 of us who been running yesterday trying to take it slow. I managed to get past Yuth early in the race and some point overtaking Salman after the 2nd Water Station.
I did shock Salman by overtaking him and he put up some speed and run past me and never to be seen again until after the race.
I was running steadily until 8km mark where may usual weakness, the side stitches keep coming in. This is the point where Yuth managed to run past me and as usual never to been seen again after the race.
Finished the race by 1 hour 45 minutes and the best part is finishing with injury free.
I do not have much to complaint on event itself except for flag off time was 10 minutes late and generic medal to all category. I supposed they could engraved the distance on the medal and giving it out to the finisher according to their category.
